Setup 2FA in Uniqkey

Set up two-factor authentication (2FA) on a website to be auto-filled by the Uniqkey app, enhancing both your security and convenience.

Navigate to the settings page of the website you want to set up 2FA for.

Follow the website's instructions to start the 2FA setup process.

When asked which authentication app you’d like to use, choose the “different authentication app” option.

On your mobile device, open the Uniqkey app.
Locate and select the relevant login within the app.
Click on "Set up 2FA" circle located at the top of the screen.

Scan the QR Code
Use the Uniqkey app to scan the QR code provided by the website.
After scanning, a 2FA code will appear in the circle at the top of the Uniqkey app.

Enter the 2FA Code in your Browser
On the website, input the generated 2FA code to complete the setup.

The next time you log in to your account on the website, Uniqkey will autofill the 2FA code for you.
Since you do not have a camera to scan the websited 2FA-setup QR code, you will need a 2FA-code. Most websites with the option of providing a 2FA, will also provide the ability to give you a 2FA-code.

Once you have been provided with a 2FA-code, open your Uniqkey browser extension and find the login in which you would like to add 2FA.
Click on 'Setup 2FA' and insert the 2FA-code.
Finalize the setup by clicking 'Submit'.
