Export & Import logins

In this guide we are going to go through how to export your logins from both your browser and Uniqkey, as well as how you import your logins into Uniqkey.

Export logins from browser & Uniqkey

• Edge
  Step 1: Open the Edge browser and find Edge Wallet
  In your Edge browser, open a new tab and go to: edge://wallet/passwords
  
  Step 2: Export your logins
  Click the three dots next to Settings.
  Then select Export passwords.
  
  Step 3: Confirm the export
  Depending on your organization’s security settings, you may be asked to enter your password or PIN before you can export your logins.
  Then choose where on your computer you want to save the file.
   
• Chrome
  Step 1: Open the Chrome browser and open Google Password Manager.
  In your Chrome browser, open a new tab and go to chrome://password-manager/passwords
  
  Step 2: Export the saved logins. 
  Open the Settings tab in the menu on the left.
  On the Settings page, find the Export passwords option and click Download file.
  
  
  Step 3: Confirm the export.
  Depending on your organization's security policies, you might need to enter a password or pin code before the file can be downloaded.
  Select the location where you wish to save the file.
   
• Step 1: Open Uniqkey Extension and Select ‘Export Logins to CSV’
  Open the Uniqkey fullscreen extension in your browser.
  Go to the Settings.
  Click 'Export Logins'
  Select the specific logins you want to export.
  
  Note: You can export your private logins at any time. However, exporting company logins may be restricted by your organization. If you encounter restrictions, please contact your administrator.
  
  Click 'Export private keychain'
  
  Step 2: Approve the Export
  Open the Uniqkey app on your phone and approve the export request.
  Once the export is complete, a CSV file containing your logins will be saved in your ‘Downloads’ folder.
  

Import logins into Uniqkey

Step 1: Open Uniqkey Extension and Select ‘Import Logins’
Open Settings in the Uniqkey extension. 
Click on ‘Import logins’.

Step 2: Map the Fields & Review Your Logins
Ensure the fields from your CSV file match the import fields in the Uniqkey extension.
You can adjust mappings as needed to align with your password file.

Browse through the list of passwords Uniqkey found.
Check the "Logins with errors" or "Duplicate logins" tabs for any issues.
Note: you need to remove all logins with errors in order to import passwords.

Optional: Move logins to a group
Select the logins you want to move to a group (you can either individually select a login or select 'all' by clicking the 'Select' icon next to 'Web address').
Choose the appropriate group to save the logins.
Save the logins in the correct group.
Once your logins are organized in the correct folders, click 'Import Logins' to proceed.


Step 5: Approve the Import
Open the Uniqkey app on your phone.
Accept the request to import passwords.  
Wait while all logins are securely saved in Uniqkey.
When the status turns to ‘Completed’, press the ‘Continue’ button.
